Reconoce esa sensación que tiene cuando se hospeda en un hotel tan agradable que comienza a pensar “Si tan solo pudiera mudarme a este sitio”.
Al comenzar el 2020, Mandarina – un nuevo resort de lujo residencial y hotelero de $1 billón en la costa selvática de México – permitirá a sus huéspedes hacer precisamente eso.
A una hora del norte de Puerto Vallarta, el desarrollo sobre la Riviera Nayarit tendrá dos hoteles de lujo – uno por One&Only y el otro por Rosewood. Mandarina tendrá también residencias privadas de cada marca, juntamente con una seductora variedad de actividades ecuestres, de bienestar y acuáticas, dentro de sus más de 600 acres.
Las residencias de One&Only Mandarina fueron desarrolladas por One&Only Private Homes, la primera empresa inmobiliaria de la marca, que incluirá 55 villas construidas sobre espaciosos lotes sobre la costa y la selva. Los residentes obtendrán un rincón del paraíso para ellos mismos, pero también tendrán acceso a los restaurantes, spa al aire libre e instalaciones ecuestres de primer mundo disponibles para los huéspedes del hotel por el precio de venta de la villa. Ya que la palabra “experiencia” es clave en la aventura de hospitalidad de lujo estos días, los residentes de Mandarina y sus huéspedes tendrán suficientes opciones para elegir. Con un pozo de fuego en el extremo del embarcadero, mismo que puede reservarse para cenas durante el atardecer. Los niños podrán cuidar de los ponys y embarcarse en aventuras llenas de descubrimientos en la selva, con casas en el árbol, puentes colgantes y un santuario de mariposas. Mandarina también tendrá campos de polo innovadores, para entrenamientos y arenas para salto, y lo que marcará sus vacaciones en las playas mexicanas: el paseo a caballo bajo la luz de la luna a la orilla del mar.
La mayor atracción será aquella creada por la naturaleza y no por los humanos: playas doradas, acantilados gigantescos y una selva densa para altas tirolesas. La propiedad, aproximadamente dos tercios del tamaño de Central Park en Nueva York, se encuentra sobre una tierra volcánica sumamente fértil – haciendo verde todo lo que se extiende a la vista.
“Sentirás que te encuentras en algún lugar de Tailandia o Indonesia por la vegetación exótica y la dramática costa que cae al mar”, comentó en una entrevista Ricardo Santa Cruz, Socio Fundador de Mandarina.
Santa Cruz, con doble nacionalidad mexicoamericana, quien trabajó en la tecnología médica antes de desarrollar hoteles, dijo que ha hecho prioridad la protección ambiental y ser buen vecino de los locales. Para ayudar a los residentes de Monteón, pueblo de algunos miles de habitantes al norte de Mandarina, los desarrolladores han invertido $3 millones en proyectos de infraestructura y culturales, incluyendo la construcción de una planta de tratamiento de agua, una iglesia y un club de playa para la comunidad, comentó.
Esto encaja con una tendencia más amplia entre los hoteleros de la región de promover el equilibrio, no solo con colchonetas de yoga y tablas de surf, pero como un desarrollador ético – obteniendo dólares de los turistas mientras preservan los recursos naturales y apoyan las economías locales. Los resorts de la costa han obtenido certificaciones ambientales con iniciativas de instalar elevadores de electricidad eficiente, ayudar a las tortugas marinas y cambiar a químicos biodegradables. Por su parte, el gobierno ha estado limpiando las aguas de la playa y restaurando los bancos de coral que han dañado los turistas.
En tanto crece el número de resorts sobre la Riviera, juntamente con su huella, la capacidad de obtener dicho equilibro podría significar la diferencia entre vender un trocito de paraíso hoy y permitir que otros lo disfruten el día de mañana.
