As a managing partner of Relevant Group, Richard Heyman leads development and construction with over 30 years of experience building high end, high-concept hospitality projects including restaurants, nightclubs and entertainment venues. Having started his career as a hospitality developer and general contractor, he understands the formula of a successful project.

Grant King has over 20 years of international real estate finance, development and investment experience. As a managing partner of Relevant Group, he leads strategy, development and financing of each project. In 2012, King moved to China to establish the company’s first overseas office and now leads fundraising efforts for Relevant Group in both U.S. and China.

During his 35-year career in investments and finance, Andrew Shayne has been instrumental in the origination, underwriting, structuring, placement, and investment of over $500 million in corporate finance transactions for private and publicly-listed companies. The former President and Co-founder of Los Angeles-based investment bank Coastline Capital Partners, Shayne’s extensive experience in originating, structuring, and pricing every type of financing transaction ensures that every project is a financial success.

Demien Farrell has over 20 years of experience in hospitality development. As a co-founder of Enlightened Hospitality Group, he helped create and develop several well-known brands including Side Bar, Stingaree, Searsucker, Burlap and Herringbone opening over 16 nightlife and restaurant venues in five cities. EHGRP was acquired by Hakkasan Group in January 2014.

PAUL FUHRMAN HAS OVER 20 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE.

Prior to founding Miramar Capital, Mr. Fuhrman was Executive Director and Head of U.S. Acquisitions at Colony Northstar, Inc. (fka Colony Capital, Inc.). At Colony, Mr. Fuhrman led many of the firm’s flagship debt fund investments (Colony Distressed Credit and Special Situations Fund, I-IV). In addition, he was responsible for new strategic initiatives and participated in real estate-related fundraising efforts. From 2010 to 2014, Mr. Fuhrman also served as the CEO of Colony’s Asset Management Company. During his tenure at Colony Capital, Inc., Mr. Fuhrman was responsible for the sourcing and consummation of more than 40 investments representing more than $4.5B of total capitalization and $1.5B of invested equity.

As Chief Accounting Officer, Warren Cruz is responsible for all accounting matters for Relevant Group. Warren has 20+ years of experience in Hospitality Accounting and Finance. Most recently, he was VP of Finance and Hotel Accounting for Atrium Hospitality, where he built the accounting platform to accommodate the growth from 0 to 83 hotels in 3 years. Prior experience includes Commune Hotels and Resorts as Director of Internal Audit, and Director of Finance positions with Morgans Hotel Group and Noble House Hotels and Resorts. Warren was also Past President of Hospitality Finance and Technology Professionals (HFTP)’s Valley of the Sun Chapter, and has spoken in HFTP and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) National Conferences.

Josh has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry managing high profile projects throughout California. The last 15 years of his management career has been primarily focused on hospitality projects from the permitting and pre-construction stage through to final completion and turnover. These projects have honed his skills on expedited delivery, guarantee of best value being delivered to project stakeholders, and collaborative solutions to project challenges that arise.

Amie Marben has 15 years of experience working in hospitality development and design. Since joining Relevant Group in 2015, she has been an integral part of the firm’s development and construction team, actively involved in numerous aspects from conception to design, through project management and construction. Her background in architecture, design and urban planning lends success to her roles in managing the process through every stage.

Paul Tran is an expert in optimizing business processes, having founded BOSS Systems, Inc., a support service platform that intelligently manages and empowers operations teams. With a global perspective and focus on design, Tran co-founded design and construction company DECON Group. His background in architecture with Altoon & Porter and development and construction with Westfield helped ensure its success.

With over 15 years of hospitality experience, May has worked through all aspects of the industry designing and permitting over 100+ restaurants, bars, retail stores, and hotels in the Los Angeles area. Her skills include planning entitlements, building permits, alcohol licenses, kitchen/bar design, and health department compliance. She has a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and has also interned at a 5-star hotel in Tokyo and studied culinary arts in Florence.

As the founder and president of Seven Circles Group Corp, an international hospitality and media consulting company, Elena Pikor has always been focused on financial analysis, profit maximization and marketing. Her previous critical financial roles reflect over 17 years of hospitality experience with best-in-class brands including Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills and Tishman Hotels Corporation.

Mark has over 15 years of Financial Services experience in New York ranging from M&A Advisory to Equity Capital Markets. Most recently, as a managing director in Royal Bank of Canada's Capital Markets group, he led the European Equity Sales, Trading, and Equity Capital Markets efforts for institutional investors in North America. Mark is responsible for Relevant Group's North American equity capital sourcing and Investor Relations.

As a managing director, J.R. Mitwasi leads fundraising efforts across the Middle East and Vietnam for Relevant Group’s hospitality and residential development projects. With over 10 years of real estate development and hospitality management experience, J.R is a licensed California real estate professional focusing on commercial and residential properties in the greater Los Angeles area.

With extensive experience in investor-based immigration and project development, Yu previously served as a project consultant with a focus on commercial real estate development and business analysis of project structuring strategies. While at a renowned business immigration law firm, he was responsible for project structuring and management of EB-5 foreign investment matters.

Summer Ren manages Relevant Group's fundraising efforts in China, developing relationships and maintaining on going communications with key China sales partners. She is actively involved with EB-5 and Chinese outbound investments.
